De Stadt Van Luijck

A cuisine that makes the guest travel through Italy and Belgium at the same time going from south of Italy passing by north, stopping in France to arrive in to the Belgian North Sea.
A travel guided by a young service team that embrace the chef’s vision giving a warm Italian welcome but with a Belgian-French setting.

De Stadt Van Luijck

Sint-Truiden in the Limburg region of Belgium, lost in the middle of fruits trees and fields; it’s here that you can find a little hidden gem restaurant.
De Stadt Van Luijck, just 5’ of walk from the main square of the city, it’s hidden on the back of a big wood door.
Walking inside you enter a new world, a big terrace with a perfectly maintained garden. Getting into the restaurant you’ll find some classics and elegant furniture associated with modern pieces. A table setting that plays between classics and minimalistic for an elegant setting where a bright white color is the conjunction line between all the elements.

“Chef Paolo Pollice brings to the table a cuisine that mix in a personal and creative way the territory,
his family roots and the French influences of Belgian cuisine creating a unique place in the Belgian panorama.”

Here is where the Belgian born and Italian rooted young chef Paolo Pollice works to bring to the table his own vision of cuisine. A cuisine that brings together the best of each countries that are part of the chef’s life.
Belgian products and traditions in this place encounter the Italian flavors together with the classic French cuisine coming from his past experience.
While you can find a “classic” reinterpretation of a Milanese saffron risotto with the chef twist, you’ll find also dishes like dried pasta, morels and nduja sausage sauce a special combination that bring together, with a personal creative vision, all the faces of the chef personality and identity.
